The voice that was already written

Tehillim opens again and again with that word: kolí, my voice — "my voice rises to G-d" (Tehillim 77:2). It is what King David does over and over: he cannot find the words, so he goes looking for them. Kolí takes that gesture and turns it into an app: when you don't know what to say, the book has already said something for you.
