Terms of Use

Last updated: June 9, 2026 · Effective date: June 9, 2026

These terms govern your use of the My Jewish Day app and the myjewishday.com website. By using the service, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Who we are

My Jewish Day is an initiative of Onward SpA, a stock corporation (sociedad por acciones) incorporated in Chile. In these terms, "we," "our," or "My Jewish Day" refer to Onward SpA.

2. Minimum age

To use My Jewish Day, you must be 13 years of age or older. This complies with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and equivalent rules in other jurisdictions. If we discover that a child under 13 is using the app, we will delete their information.

3. Nature of the content

My Jewish Day offers Jewish educational, ritual, spiritual, and reflective content. The content is provided in good faith but:

4. How your data is stored

The app is 99% local storage: your profile, dates, reflections, Shabbat memory, and progress live on your device. If you uninstall, wipe device data, or lose the device, you lose that information. We have no backup we can restore. We recommend writing down or exporting important data (names, Hebrew dates) if they matter to you.

For details on what is stored in the cloud and how we protect it, see the Privacy Policy.

5. Subscriptions and payments

6. Permanent free plan

The free plan includes all features described as "free" in the app and on the website at the time of your first download. We reserve the right to change the free plan's scope in the future, but the data you loaded during onboarding (1 yahrzeit + 1 celebration) will remain free forever even if we change other aspects of the plan.

7. Collective Yahrzeit and shared content

If you choose to upload a name to the Collective Yahrzeit:

10. Availability and changes

We work to keep the app and site available, but some features depend on internet, location, Apple/Google services, and external providers. We may pause, modify, or discontinue features, giving reasonable notice when the change is significant.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Onward SpA is not liable for: loss of locally stored data, errors in zmanim calculations derived from incorrect coordinates supplied by the user, or indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of the app. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the subscription in the 12 months preceding the event.

12. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or close your access if you breach these terms. Suspension does not automatically end your active subscription; you can manage it on the App Store or Google Play.
