Kavana Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 10, 2026 · Data controller: Onward SpA (My Jewish Day)

Kavana is the mussar app —the Jewish work of character— from the house of My Jewish Day. The work of the soul is intimate, and we treat it that way: your practice lives on your phone, and you don't need to create an account.

1No account

Kavana works without email or password. It is identified by an anonymous code generated on your device, without your name or email.

2Your practice lives on your phone

Your trait of the day, your consistency, and your progress are stored locally on your device. We do not upload them to any server.

3The jeshbón is private by design

The jeshbón hanefesh —the accounting of the soul you do at night— is local and private by design. What you write or reflect there stays on your device; we never read it or send it to a server.

4Anonymous analytics

To understand what's used, the app may record anonymous, aggregated usage events —without your name, email, or the content of your jeshbón—. They are never used for advertising.

5Subscriptions

If Kavana offers premium features, billing is processed by Apple or Google. We do not see or store your payment card details; only the subscription status.

6How to delete your data

From the app's Settings you can delete your data: all local information —including your jeshbón— is erased and the device's anonymous identifier is reset.

7No advertising, no data sale

Kavana contains no advertising, uses no advertising tracking networks, and does not sell or share your data.
