Kimá Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 10, 2026 · Data controller: Onward SpA (My Jewish Day)

Kimá is the Jewish clock from the house of My Jewish Day, for Apple Watch, Wear OS, and as a widget on your phone. It is built on a simple principle: almost everything happens inside your own device. You don't need to create an account.

1No account, an anonymous identifier

The app works without email or password. It is identified by an anonymous code (UUID) generated on your device, which contains neither your name nor your email.

2Location: only on your device

Location is used to compute the zmanim (halachic hours) of your place and the direction to the Kotel. This computation happens only inside your device: the app does not send your latitude or longitude to any server. You can also choose your city by hand, without using GPS.

3Everything is computed locally

The hours of the sky, the moon phase, the Hebrew date, and the compass are computed on your device, from the location or city you choose. We store none of it on servers.

4Anonymous analytics

To understand what's used, the app may record anonymous, aggregated usage events —without your name, email, or exact location—. They are never used for advertising.

5Subscriptions

If Kimá offers premium features, billing is processed by Apple or Google. We do not see or store your payment card details; only the subscription status.

6How to delete your data

From the app's Settings you can delete your data: local information is erased and the device's anonymous identifier is reset.

7No advertising, no data sale

Kimá contains no advertising, uses no advertising tracking networks, and does not sell or share your data.
